Miles is getting a new room (the former guest room) in preparation for the arrival of his sister, who will inevitably take over countless number of his things throughout his life. His room being the first, we are preparing it -- and positioning it -- as a big-boy room. Although there will still be a crib, he's getting a new-to-him toddler table and matching chairs, new rug and a new battleship gray paint job. Here's some pics of Jim in his room-painting debut...

Miles' New Digs...in progress

ROTFLMAO
Oh the simple things in life! Miles apparently gets a real kick out of coughing and sneezes. This first one was so funny that he couldn't keep his balance.

Miles' Afternoon with Ben & Sam Bleything
Ben & Sam, 5 mos., (and their parents, Matt & Jill) spent Sunday afternoon with us. The Bleything Boyz enjoyed playing with Miles "stuff," while Miles supervised. Russ too was keeping an eye on things. Miles is free-standing (not hanging onto something/someone) more and more -- walking is right around the corner.

That's What Those Things are For!
Miles' seems to have figured out that his legs have a purpose other than sticking his feet in his mouth. In the last couple weeks he has learned how to make his Jeep "go" and has been zooming around the house ever since. Next stop...walking!
A Day at the Phoenix Zoo
Miles went to the zoo for the first time during our visit to Phoenix. He enjoyed looking at all the animals. Of all the "ferocious" animals at the zoo, it was a loud parrot that made Miles cry. Mommy seemed a bit concerned about the creatures running free in the monkey village.
Russ is Funny!
Miles' loves his jumper seat and thinks Russ is hilarious when playing "tug" with his toy.
It seems we have a stowaway.
Hangin' With Nash
Miles' had a friend sleep over a few nights ago. Here is some videos of Miles and Nash playing in the kitchen the next morning.
Nash was very interested in the camera...and then lost his balance.
Miles Loves Water - Dog Water that Is
We tend to try and keep Miles out of Russ' water bowl. Mommy was being lenient on this particular morning though.

Happy Birthday Great-Granddad!
Here is Miles wishing his great-granddad, Vince, a very happy birthday!
Miles' New Tricks!
January was a busy month of learning for Miles. He mastered rolling over, learned to sit up, crawl and stand up (with the assitance of a table). Here you can see many of his new skills as well as a glimpse of his infatuation with Russ.
Miles Reading
Of all the books in our basement, Miles continues to gravitate to two. Here you can see one of his favorites - Principles of Economics. He is also quite fond of the Milton Friedman classic - Capitalism and Freedom.
Funny Mommy!
Miles continues to be a happy baby boy with plenty of smiling and laughing. Especially when Mommy performs her comedy routine.
